ICYMI: Super Bowl Sunday is only 2 days away!

As football fans begin to cast their predictions, and grocery stores are packed to the brim with Super Bowl snacks and drinks, Little Sunshine Center is here to provide you with some activities to make sure your little ones are included in the sports fun! Let this Super Bowl Sunday be an opportunity to show positive displays of sportsmanship, bonding with family and friends, and the excitement behind an anticipated event!

Key Learning Opportunity: Sportsmanship

(Feel free to add in a theme for the evening that you know your little one would learn from.)

Great sportsmanship is not just an indicator of someone’s character, but also a quality that can be modeled on to young ones early on! Feel free to remind loved ones that are going to enjoy Super Bowl LIX in your home to display positive sportsmanship throughout the evening. Little ones learn best through modeled behavior!

Throughout the day, feel free to go over a list of great sportsmanship qualities for your preschoolers to follow. If you need help coming up with a few, check out these tips for showing good sportsmanship. Engage your little ones by rewarding them with their favorite snacks or a sticker every time they display one of the listed behaviors throughout the evening.

Let’s Get Crafty!

If there’s one thing we’re sure of, at least with our Little Sunshine kiddos, is that kids love a great painting session!

One of the first things that comes to mind when getting ready for a football game are the colors we’ll be sporting for the night! Bring out the non-toxic face paints , and get in the sports-time spirit by painting one black line under each eye and some fun designs on your face to show your team spirit. Not a fan of face paint? No worries! Bring out some markers and paper and have your little ones create some signs to cheer their favorite team with throughout the night.

Super Bowl Sweets

One fun and easy recipe that you and your family can make are cereal treat footballs!

These easy and delicious treats will have your family asking for more, all with the help of your little helping hands!

We hope you and your family enjoy Super Bowl Sunday just as much as we enjoyed Super Bowl Funday! Feel free to send your pictures over to us, we’d love to see how you spent your evening!
